In designing this menu, I aimed to incorporate a subtle appearance of the logo while using elegant, slightly glowing text to categorize the sections, ensuring they stood out. Ample space was allocated for the detailed descriptions of the dishes. Despite facing challenges in fitting the content onto the page, the final product met the client’s satisfaction.
Reflecting on this project, if I were to approach it today, I would implement several changes. Firstly, I would apply a color filter over the background. Secondly, I would eliminate the glow effects, as they can complicate the printing process. With these adjustments, I would then modify the text colors to harmonize with the new design elements.
Discount Flyer Case Study
For this flyer, I aimed to blend the themes of the two special menus, striking a balance that was neither too bright nor too dark. I chose a sunrise tropical photo to capture the diverse colors featured in both menus. I ensured the inclusion of the logo and a QR code linking to the website. For the body text, I used a deep maroon background to enhance legibility and make the text stand out to the audience.
Reflecting on this project, if given the chance to redesign it today, I would enhance the “Order Now!” text by increasing its font size and changing its color to ensure it stands out more prominently.
In designing this special menu, I aimed to create a tropical aesthetic with a purple motif. For the header, I selected an ornate font with a glow to achieve a shining, illuminating effect on the gold text, and I angled it slightly to add dynamism. For the body text, I chose a tropical-looking yet legible font, using a white fill with a purple stroke. The background featured a tropical scene with a purple filter, and I incorporated tropical fauna around the edges to fill the negative space and enhance the dynamic feel of the design.
Reflecting on this project, if I were to revisit it today, I would adjust the brightness of the fauna elements to better match the background.
Special Event Menu II Case Study
In designing this menu, I aimed for a bright and less realistic aesthetic, which is reflected in the chosen background and palm tree imagery. For the header text, I selected a beach-style font in sea blue with a burnt orange drop shadow to complement the sky. The subheader text features an orange color matching the sky, paired with a yellow drop shadow to ensure it stands out. For the body text, I used a font similar to the header but opted for a white color with a purple stroke to enhance its legibility and visual appeal.
Reflecting on this project, if given the opportunity to redesign it today, I would remove the underline from the “Special Menu” text, as it blends too much with the sun. Additionally, I would adjust the drop shadow color on the “March 26th” text to prevent it from blending into the background.
