Tantine Mimes Gourmet Case Study

When designing this website, I conducted thorough UX research to understand how other artisan websites are designed and their impact on user experience. I began by analyzing successful artisan e-commerce sites, identifying key design elements and common features that enhance user interaction and satisfaction. This research provided valuable insights into the best practices for creating a user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing website.

In collaboration with Feisal, we determined that a simple e-commerce aesthetic would be ideal for the smaller scale of the business. We chose clean colors and subtle animations to keep the user experience straightforward and enjoyable. To ensure our design choices were well-informed, I also gathered user feedback through surveys and usability tests to understand the preferences and behaviors of potential customers.

For the color scheme, we selected a white and green theme with red as an accent color for the buttons, using a dark pattern to draw attention to them. This choice was based on user feedback indicating a preference for a non-overwhelming layout with clear focal points. Our goal was to create a simple, intuitive interface that would not distract users from exploring the products.

To further enhance the user experience, we incorporated numerous graphics and photos, helping users better understand the products and appreciate the artisan feel. Featuring photos of the owner proudly displaying her creations was a strategic decision to convey the message of supporting a local artisan within the community, as supported by our research on the importance of personal connection in small business marketing.

Through this UX-focused approach, I believe the design successfully captures the desired simple aesthetic, with clean colors and an intuitive layout, ensuring a pleasant and supportive user experience.
